Terry Marks, Principal, Tmarks Design
Terry is a designer, author, speaker, illustrator and builder of community. From the visual to the verbal, from the physical to the interpersonal, he has been creating powerful connections that have meaning for decades. This work has garnered awards, recognition and thankfully, more than a few friends.
Terry is a champion of collaboration, fan of the kind and good, Fellow of AIGA Seattle, and veteran of the Executive Board of the AIGA National Board of Directors. He has all the awards he needs, not enough of the time to do what he loves and sees as possible, but is content to know that everything has its time. He is a storyteller, builder, movie-maker and one who believes in the impending good.
Andy Outis, Principal, Shift 7 Studio
Andy Outis is the Principal and Creative Director of Shift 7 Studio, a design studio working across branding, motion, environments and storytelling for brands, non-profits, and individuals.
Andy was previously the Creative Director of brand marketing and events at New York Magazine, where he led a team responsible for revenue-driving creative across brand marketing, events and custom content for New York Magazine and its digital verticals including The Cut and Vulture. His clients have included AT&T, The Breakthrough Prize, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Related Companies, powerHouse Books, Atlantic Fellows and HBO.
Andy is a graduate of the MFA Designer as Entrepreneur program at the School of Visual Arts and now teaches at SVA and Pratt Institute. A product of the San Francisco Bay Area, he lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
Alvin Oei, Senior Design Manager, Disney
Alvin Oei is a Senior Design Manager at Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products - focused on creating retail experiences and concepts around the world for different licensee and brand partnerships.
Alvin began his career as an interior designer at Randall-Babylon Architects in Los Angeles. He left this job in 2013 to attend ArtCenter’s Environmental Design program, where he studied around the world, illustrated murals, and even wrote a children’s book. After graduation, Alvin joined BRC Imagination Arts in Burbank as an environmental designer wherehe worked on award-winning visitor attractions for global brands including Coca-Cola, Google, and The Singleton.
As an independent creative director, Alvin was hired by various brands in Shanghai, including HEYTEA and SPORSPOT, to integrate storytelling into their retail and sports venues. At the same time, he was brought into Disney to help develop the retail visions for Munchlings and the D100 celebration.
In his spare time, Alvin runs CMD+Y, a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a small team of creatives, focused on educational design projects for the local community.
