Surabhi Rathi is Strategy Director at BUCK, a globally-renowned creative company at the forefront of bringing brands to life through art, design and technology. BUCK is known for its deeply resonant, visually striking work across branding, experience, motion, and design.
In her role, Surabhi harmonizes analytical rigor with imagination to architect transformative brand and communication strategies for some of the world's most progressive brands including IBM, Google, Bloomberg, PayPal, Microsoft, among many others. Drawing on her rich background in design, she provides the vision and leadership needed to craft compelling brand solutions. Surabhi believes branding is her canvas for driving impact—where openness meets conviction.
A leader in her field, Surabhi also serves as a thesis advisor for the Masters of Branding program at the prestigious School of Visual Arts in New York City. Guiding the next generation of strategists and creative leaders continues to be a source of sustained joy and inspiration for her.
Josh Silverman, Founder & CEO, PeopleWork
For 30 years, Josh Silverman has created successful relationships by connecting communities across entrepreneurship, education, and design. Currently, he is Chair of the Master of Interaction Design (MDes) program at California College of the Arts, an intensive one-year STEM-designated program with an emphasis on social impact. He’s also the Founder & CEO of PeopleWork, a recruiting, coaching, and workshop practice, and a Partner in Mandel Creative. Through these organizations, he has placed emerging design leaders at roles in Target, Cisco, Netflix, and more, and works with teams on their critique, culture, and design operations practices.
In 1997, he founded Schwadesign, a lean, holocratic design business, where he led and curated diverse teams for nearly 20 years. Their work was recognized by The Wall Street Journal, Rebrand.com, The Boston Globe, and more. His clients have included startups (iRobot, Buildium, Trinity Pharma), educational institutions (MIT, Harvard Medical School, Brown University), global enterprise (UBS, Wells Fargo, Accenture), cities (Providence, RI, and Bethesda, MD), non-profits (American Heart Association, Friends of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute), and many more.
