Rozi Zhu, Designer/Creative Technician
Rozi Zhu is an award-winning designer based in New York City. With a strong curiosity in creative coding and physical computing, she creates experimental visuals and interactive designs. In the past, she has worked at Dazzle Studio, Studio TheGreenEyl, Buck, and has collaborated on projects for clients like Amazon, Google, Dior, Meta, Adobe, MTV, Chowbus, and Carl's Jr. Her awards include TDC Ascender, Print Awards Handlettering and Type Design First Place and Editors' Choice, Creativepool Annual Awards Silver in Branding & Bronze in Graphic, TDC Competition Winner and Tokyo TDC Prize Nomination.
George White, Director, Business Transformation, Slalom
George White is Director, Business Transformation Center of Excellence at Slalom Boston, where he focuses on coaching and enabling business transformation for clients and across Slalom’s internal capabilities. He is the head of the Slalom Boston Innovation Task Force, a multidisciplinary team supporting innovation practice.
Prior to joining Slalom in 2022, George was the Chief Innovation Officer for Cantina, a Boston-based consulting and innovation firm. He is also the Board Chair of the Design Museum Foundation.
Joe Meersman, Partner, The Collective
Joe Meersman is a Partner at The Collective, a multidisciplinary design firm. Joe has been a Designer, Researcher, Principal, Manager, and Director across his 20+ year career. He has led teams of practitioners to deliver experiences for Lawyers, Investment Bankers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Insurance Agents, Actuaries, Publishers, First Responders, and Doctors.
Joe has contributed to products as small as first-generation Bluetooth headsets and as large as office furniture. He has driven outcomes ranging from pre-iPhone mobile devices and e-commerce implementations to the delivery of multiple Design Language Systems. He has facilitated User Research across the world, from Beijing to Bucharest.
Joe is a skilled workshop facilitator, storyteller, and thought leader. He presents at conferences on topics ranging from Design Thinking, User Experience, Artificial Intelligence, and Creative Career Paths. In addition, Joe has been an Adjunct Professor at UT Austin for over five years, teaching Visual Communication, Research, and Prototyping.
He considers himself an accidental educator and loves knowing "Texas" is a slang term for "Crazy" in Norway.
